This place truly has so much potential, and from what we’ve heard, it has lived up to that potential in the past. The location is fantastic compared to other lifestyle/clothing-optional resorts in the area. On our first visit we actually drove past it because we didn’t see any cars in the lot, so we continued on to our second-choice resort in Desert Hot Springs. We decided to give EDR a try on the Sunday night of the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend, and we were pleasantly surprised once we actually entered the property. The pools and hot tubs were clean and inviting, the rooms were tidy and comfortable, and the playrooms were spacious and well set up. This is why we say the place has potential. There was only one other couple staying that night, so the four of us essentially had the entire resort to ourselves. The property is huge, conveniently located near downtown Palm Springs and the airport, and has all the right elements — it just needs more guests. We’re not sure what direction ownership plans to take, especially with the property currently listed for sale, but with stronger social media presence, better advertising, improved word of mouth, and more consistent service, this could easily become a top-tier destination for the swinger/lifestyle community.

We recently spent our first weekend at EDR with some friends. We had done an day pass in 2023 and vowed not to return due to the horrible condition of the pool at that time. However, recently they have done a lot of work to the property and the pool, I'm happy to report is now in much better shape. However the jacuzzi was not so desirable with a green glow to the water. I feel having a pool keeper monitoring the pools and jaccuzi at least twice a day is a necessity for a nude resort with that many people in one pool on any given day. We got a room in the 300's with a kitchen. Upon checking in, they put us in the wrong room. Once we got that figured out, we got our things in the correct room with a kitchen. However, the main air unit was set to 82 on a 110+ degree day. I walked into the bedroom and that air unit wasn't even plugged in. I quickly plugged it in and began cooling the room, but it took the better part of the day to do so. I asked for a couple portable fans for the room as the ceiling fan in the main room didn't work (no remote) and because it hadn't been pre-cooled for check-in, it was just miserable in our room. Saturday morning I wanted to warm up a breakfast burrito in the microwave, however the microwave didn't work. Again, had to find a manager and ask for a working microwave. The cooktop didn't even function properly. When I had called and asked some questions before the weekend, I was told that they try to keep their kitchens stocked with pans, utensils etc. There were no pans to use on the cooktop, no utensils. The shower left a lot to be desired. Although a new hand held shower fixture, the outside handle just spun and when trying to keep that steady in the holder, it would not project the water properly and the shower pan is much too shallow and you end up with water all over the floor. We had issues with the digital lock on the room door the entire time. It would take 3-5 times entering the code every time to get it to work properly and unlock the door. The play rooms would run out of towels and sheets. The air in the red room was not consistent; it was either hot or way too cold. It didn't seem as if there were staff taking care of the playrooms on a consistent basis. Over all we had a great time on property. Having been an event planner for the past 20 years, I pay attention to the little things like making sure a guests room is properly cooled upon check in. Making sure there is a working remote for the ceiling fan in the room, appliances work etc. For paying $300 a night, I would expect a little better attention to detail overall. Sometimes the little things can make ALL the difference for a simple weekend stay.

This is our favorite, go-to daytime lifestyle resort in the area. This last offseason they repainted the exterior along with full remodels of all guest rooms. This is a small boutique hotel that caters to the nudist/lifestyle clientele. Weekends you can expect a professional DJ, and food delivered from a local business. Why is this our go-to? THE POOL!,, pool is enormous, adequately shaded to avoid overexposure to the sun, welcoming clientele, and reasonable rates (were not millionaires). With all that being said, we have such an amazing time while here, its easy to overlook their shortcomings. Having been to dozens of LS clubs, both private and large scale professional types, i would describe this place as "a large, private pool party type LS club". If your accustomed to first class accommodations, and everything around you constantly being maintained in tip-top condition, you may feel this place fall short, but in our opinion, most LS clubs are not perfect.

September 2025 UPDATE: We had such a great time that we booked a Friday/Saturday stay. We arrived around 12pm and was able to check-in. Our room was located at the quiet pool. It was clean and the AC was on which was very nice. Since we arrived on the early side, we claimed a spot at the pool for our beach towels and cooler. We did not get a cabana but found out they were $200. The EZ pool was, however was not in operation. The temperature of the main pool and quiet pool and hot tubs were perfect. The couples we met throughout the weekend were all fun and cool. Smaller group than the last time we were there but we found that to be more intimate. Great tunes all weekend too. The owner, Don was also very friendly and the staff was also great. Also, the playrooms were air conditioned nicely. It was another hot weekend so we did not use the areas in the maze. We did have a couple cons during our stay: 1. There were no towel bars in the room. We had to hang them either over the shower curtain bar or a chair to dry. 2. The music was blasting all night in the quiet area. Our AC unit in the room would mostly drown it out but when it kicked off the music was quite loud. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and we will return for another weekend. Go have fun, explore and play! August 2025: We were newbies and decided to do a day pass. When we arrived all the parking spots were full but were able to find street parking. The front desk host was helpful and answered any questions we had. Since we didn't have a room we went to the locker room. This area was not well maintained and looked more like a storage area. We arrived around 1pm and all the chase lounges (all shaded) were occupied but we were able to put our belongings on a table with an umbrella. There were also reserved areas for cabanas but that costs an extra fee. Not sure what it is. There was about 40 people in the main pool and the DJ was playing fun party tunes. Pizza was provided but we didn't have any. We wondered around the grounds just to see the layout. After, we made our way in the pool. It was partially covered with a shade sail which was great since it was so hot. All the couples we met were friendly, great, and we really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. Because of the heat, we stayed in the pool the entire time we were there and did not go in the maze or playroom. Overall we had a great experience. We plan on coming back and booking a room and staying the weekend.

My husband brought me here for our 22nd anniversary and we had so much fun that we came back to celebrate my birthday! When arriving, we were greeted by Don and Ann who are absolutely amazing!! They made us feel so welcomed and comfortable and truly went above and beyond in making both our trips memorable. The room was already cooled when walking in and fully stocked with coffee, sugars and creamer which was a nice surprise. Rooms are surprisingly large…even if we didn’t spend much time in it it was a nice feature. The grounds are clean and well kept, the pools were all clean with plenty of pool “toys” to play with, pool side beds were a great touch and bedding always kept clean. The entire staff was super friendly, and treated us like family. We met so many fun people during our stays and made some ever lasting memories. If you’re on the fence about coming, just do it!! You won’t regret it! We will be lifelong guests!!

I didn’t know what to expect when I booked a week in Palm Springs at EDR (exotic dreams resort), I just knew that I got a great deal. I played four rounds of golf this week and went to Joshua tree twice. I hit two pool parties (Ace and Saguaro), several restaurants and a couple of coffee shops. EDR is made up of several buildings with lots of rooms, some with a full kitchen. There’s a breakfast area for weekends, several pools and two hot tubs. This resort was All Worlds(?) previously and was clothing optional. Now it’s clothing mandatory but EDR is changing back. Not everyone was feeling the vibes here, however, so know your audience, this place is 21 years old and up. There was one couple that were nude and a single female was topless by the pool. There was one other couple who kind of got upset about the topless gal...but come on, you booked at room at Exotic Dreams in the heart of clothing optional reports (they are all around EDR) and you’re telling me you didn’t read any reviews? Don't worry, they will be okay lol. EDR is an adults only resort, very quiet at night for us (although some young/mid 20's partied till 3am but not too loudly), we could walk to the downtown area and EDR has super friendly and helpful staff who only wanna see you have a good time. Shower was tricky but there’s a communal shower that I used with tons of hot water. Hello to the cute couple that got in with me this morning:) Sorry I couldn't stay and play.

Updated Review - My wife and returned to EDR on July 26th of 2025 after they went back tot heir old self. EDR did not disappoint. Although we reserved a room we arrived by about 1:00 PM and were happy to find our room was already available. Smooth and easy check i, generally very , our room was very clean and comfortable, with a couple of signs of age, but generally great! We had one of the 100s rooms and we did see some of the newly renovated rooms which looked very nice. But we don't go to EDR to sit in the room. EDR is back to it's old self. When we got there at 1:00 or so there was no where in the main pool left to sit. It was packed. The place was clean. the playrooms were clean and well maintained. Fresh towels and sheets were available all day, and the pools were refreshing. We had no negative issues with the place at all. Enjoy your stay!
